It was our 1st family tour with my Ma, Baba and Sister(Chumki). After staying 3-4days in delhi, we went for Simla by volvo bus. At around 9pm we started our journey to simla. We arrived simla around 5a.m. and checked into the hotel. Simla welcome us with a beautiful sunrise.
After taking a nap and breakfast we were out to feel the nature. As it was our first family outing, so the tour was totally unplanned. We have no idea where to visit in Simla. No ticket was booked to return from Simla. So we went to simla railway station. But no ticket was available. we was very disappointed. Roaming around, we found all kind of shops on the road to Mall Area.
We took a cab to visit Jakhu Hanuman temple in Jakkhu hills. It is dedicated to Lord Hanumanji. The monkeys here are in great numbers and are notorious. They are self-trained in stealing food-camera-sunglasses. The path was surrounded by dense forest of pine and deodar.
As vehicles are not allowed on the Mall road we parked our vehicle in the parking and walked steep uphills for Kali bari. We felt too much hungry at that time. Baba brought Aloo Tikki for us. We ordered dinner at KaliBari. Oh! It was too cold! My nose was numb. I was worried for my parents!
Next day morning we took a car for Kufri and Narkanda. First we visited Narkanda. We got disappointed after reaching at the peak point. There was a temple and a fun park there, nothing of any interest.
We reached Kufri in one hour, left the cab and have horse ride to reach at peak as there was no road for vehicles ahead. Kufri is surrounded by dense forest. As it was the first time I ever had a horse riding so I was little bit uneasy but after few minutes it was alright and we enjoyed. After reaching the peak point we took a beautiful view of snow clad peaks of Himalayas. Ma and Baba choose to relax in car parking area in kufri. Weather was nice but place was not so clean.
We had our lunch in hotel. In the evening time we decided to visit mall road. We strolled through the Shimla market and bought a few winter items. The market was reasonable and we got some good deals. Everyone was tired at that time. As it was our last night in simla I want to spend a long time in mall. As we were in no mood to go out from the room, we ordered dinner to be served at the room.
Baba was little tensed as we had no reservation. So waked up early we checked out from hotel and went to bus stand. Morning was very nice, but sadness passed among us because o we have to bye bye to Simla.
